The 3rd R Wild Horse Ranch Crawdad Festival to be held in Red Bluff, Ca.
In an all-out effort to raise funds for much needed equipment, R Wild Horse Ranch Fire Auxiliary, Inc. will be holding the Crawdad Festival for 2012 on June 8, 9 & 10 at the Tehama District Fair Grounds.
The Crawdad Festival originated in the small town of Isleton back in 1986 and was the chief source of funds to run the local Chamber of Commerce and promote the Sacramento Delta by recognizing the fun little guys known locally as “crawdads” and elsewhere throughout the United States by an assortment of names including crawfish, “mud bugs”, crayfish, etc. The festival eventually outgrew the City of Isleton and was purchased by the R Wild Horse Ranch and made a part of the volunteer fire and rescue auxiliary. Last year’s event proved to be extremely popular and the crowds were fantastic. Both the City of Red Bluff and the Red Bluff-Tehama County Chamber of Commerce support this community event. Attendees came from all over the State of California, from Nevada, Oregon, Idaho, Iowa, Washington and even Louisiana and Texas.
Company 6 is the only first responder in a 26 mile range that covers from Bowman Rd. and Highway 36 to the Shasta County Line. They respond to an average of 60 calls per year and are on call year round. We are raising funds to cover the acquisition of a squad to transport a victim and house our “jaws of life” used in rescue work. There is no cell phone coverage on Highway 36 and our service and equipment has to be able to handle all emergencies.

The R Wild Horse Ranch is getting ready for its 3rd Annual Crawdad Festival in Red Bluff, CA. Enclosed please find the Vendor Application, Vender Checklist, Vendor Booth Rules, Health Dept. Application for the Food Vendors and the Liability Insurance Example for you to follow.
Remember, this is the huge event that originated back in 1986 in Isleton, CA. In 2010 it was sold to the R Wild Horse Ranch who will proudly keep the tradition going.
We at the R Wild Horse Ranch are very excited to throw the biggest party in Red Bluff on June 8, 9, 10 2012. Bring your Family out for crawdads and have a great time.
Also, we will be starting the festival out with one of the biggest carnivals around. Family fun and an educational hands on events for the kids, also a car show, lots of food and crafts. We will have Zydeco and Cajun bands all weekend for your enjoyment.
